What are the earrings made of?

The base metal for the majority of earrings is brass, either left raw or plated in matt gold or silver. The coloured elements are stainless steel coated in a tactile, hardwearing matte paint.

How do I take care of my earrings?

Accepted Answer

Like silver and gold, brass will develop a patina over time. This process may accelerate through contact with hair products and perfumes. You might appreciate these changes but if this is not your cup of tea, each piece can be cleaned either with warm soapy water and a soft cloth.
 
Ensure your earrings do not come into contact with perfumes and hair products. They should always be removed before sleeping, swimming and showering.
 
Brass only earrings can also be submerged in lemon juice to bring them back to new. Ensure the earrings are rinsed and dried thoroughly.
 
To extend the time it takes for the earrings to tarnish, it helps to keep them in their cotton bag, thus reducing oxidisation of the metals.

Note that earrings are considered personal items and therefore for hygiene reasons, cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty.

All parcels are shipped 2nd Class for £3.

I aim to dispatch all orders within 2 working days. Delays are rare but I will contact you if there is a hold up.

Are your earrings suitable for sensitive ears?

Accepted Answer

All pendant earrings can be made with gold or silver hooks which are often better suited to those who suffer irritation.

The stud earrings all have a stainless steel back which is considered ideal for those with sensitive ears. If you leave a note on your order I can also provide silicon earring backs to ensure your ears are not in contact with any irritants.
